The recent leak suggests that the xiaomi mi 8 will feature a 6.0-inch display and a processor of Snapdragon 845. It was rumored before that the device would consist of Full HD+ screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratios. Founder of xiaomi Lei Jun confirmed that on Weibo that they have included an in-display fingerprint scanner.
According to people over at XDA Developers, the mi8 will house an OLED panel equipped with an always-on display feature. They have also hinted towards a dual-camera setup on the back to make your photographs more photogenic. Furthermore, the camera will offer AI-enhanced photography by recognizing different and automatically adjusting setting for better image capture.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun confirmed on Weibo that there will be an in-display scanner. Speculations are the device may come with latest Android Oreo with MIUI skin on above and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage with 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
We are also expecting that the mi8 will be fully waterproof as opposed to being just water resistant like the mi6. The absence of a headphone jack might prove to be a deal breaker for some, and probably there won’t be any micro SD slot either.
The latest design leak shows an image reportedly showing the mi 8’s retail box in which it displays a mi 8 with a notch and a dual camera setup. Besides, it also revealed that the device would come in blue variant as well.
This device is expected to be a little expensive than its predecessors mainly because of its rumored in-display fingerprint scanner, 3D facial recognition, and other features. However, it appears that the mi 8 would be far cheaper than the high-end devices like the Galaxy S9 that priced for $720 and LG V30 that is for $700.
